Ani+Waz|Kangaroo Valley Wedding

I have done my fair share of weddings in Kangaroo Valley, but every single one is always different. What makes a wedding unique are the wonderful people you meet. Ain, Waz and I had never met prior to this day but we had emailed and talked over the felt very comfortable. Ani and Waz are outdoor enthusiasts so it was only natural they were drawn to the amazing venue that is the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. Awesome people, beautiful venue and great food, you cannot go wrong. I feel blessed toView full post »

Shannon + Prue |Cawarra Station Wedding

Sometimes you just don’t know what to expect. This wedding was exactly like that. Held on new years eve at the beautiful Cawarra family homestead in Gresford, New South Wales. Prue’s family has owned this property for generations and it didn’t disappoint. In between her wedding car breaking down moments before the ceremony and me being on edge as our baby was due on the same day, it all turned out for the best and was definitely the best way to bring in the new year. Yes weView full post »

Katherine + Andy |Kangaroo Valley Wedding

Weddings come around often but some leave a lasting impression. It may be the unique location, the vows made, or the beautiful people. Katherine and Andy’s wedding included all those things wrapped in a sweet little bundle that I will remember forever. When I first spoke to Katherine and Andy last year, I couldn’t help but feel so excited for them and knew their wedding would be something amazing, plus Andy’s infectious personally sweetened the deal just that little bitView full post »

Jeremy and Emily | Newcastle Engagement Photographer

I always try and think of something profound to say but always seem to get lost in my words, so I am just going to keep this one simple. I have known Jeremy and Emily for a little while now and I can honestly say you probably wouldn’t meet two nicer people. They are what you would call gentle spirits. We went into Newcastle recently a snapped a few engagement photos, but half my luck the rain came down again and the sun was nowhere to be seen. As we walked around the light faded quickly,View full post »

Gabriella+Jason | The calm before the storm

In nearly exactly one month from today Gabriella and Jason will say I do, in the majestic Hunter Valley. But before that happens we made sure to get some beautiful photos to commemorate their engagement. As I arrived at Jason’s family home on the outskirts of Maitland, the bright sunny day was slowly disappearing and the dark black clouds were starting to roll in. Even though our session was cut short by the rain, it wasn’t all bad, these images make every second worth it!View full post »

Brooke & Leith

When the very talaneted Justin Aaron recently invited me along to help shoot Brooke and Leith’s wedding I couldn’t say no. Brooke is an Instagram queen and the face of Maiden Sydney, while Leith is the owner of the world renowned fashion label Zanerobe. Held at the gorgeous Roberts Restraunt and styled by my good friends at The Wedding Designer, their wedding was all class and I was so grateful that Justin gave me the opportunity to be there. I thought I would share a couple ofView full post »

Mark + Tori | Awaba House Wedding

Mark and Victoria were married at Awaba House, on the majestic Lake Macquarie. I have known Mark since we were teenagers and even though I have only known Tori for a short time, it feels like we have been friends forever. After we sat on my couch many months ago discussing their wedding plans I had absolutley no doubt that it was going to be an amazing day and it lived up to every expectation that I had; it was perfect in every single way. Mark and Tori truly do compliment each other and afterView full post »

Leia + Chad | Engaged

You can never plan for perfect weather, Mother Nature has its own set of rules. But the cold rain did not dampen the beautiful spirits of Leia and Chad, because new love always makes everything warm inside. We had fun, climbing on cliffs, playing in the water and watching the waves come in at Terrigal Beach. Have I mentioned before that I seriously love photographing engagement sessions. To me they are always fun, especially when you are photographing such an awesome couple!View full post »

Kimmi + Tye

You know when you meet someone and you feel an instant connection. That is Kimmi and Tye, I feel as though we have been friends forever. They are just beautiful people, the kind you want to be around. It was a little overcast, the rain was starting to fall, but just as the sun was setting the sky opened up and the light was majestic. Our little walk around Newcastle was not in vain but an opportunity to create awesomeness….This is why I photograph people in love!View full post »

Looking for light | Tim Pascoe

Nothing makes me happier than taking photographs of people in love. In fact I just love taking photos all together, so when opportunities arise to build on my craft and improve my skills I take them. I recently had the opportunity to attended a small one day workshop with the one and only Tim Pascoe (An amazing wedding photographer). Workshops are awesome, not only because they give me a chance to network with other awesome wedding photographers but because they let me fine tune my skills toView full post »

THE VIEROWS

I love how photography connects people, you see I am so lucky to meet amazing people and beautiful families that I wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity. Early this year while I was in Broken Hill to photograph a Wedding, I was lucky enough to photograph the Vierow Family. If you ask me, Families are where its at, and they are all that are really important in this life we live day to day. I have found this myself after having a son, In-fact, our little boy and Mel’s little boyView full post »
